The online home of The Southern Lepidopterists' Society
The Southern Lepidopterists' Society was organized in 1978 to promote scientific interest and knowledge related to understanding the butterfly and moth fauna of the southern region of the United States.
The society now includes members with a broad array of interests in Lepidoptera,
including photography, watching, collecting, etc.
Do you have any interesting mothing stories to tell?
Do you have some great butterfly photos you would like to share?
Have you discovered something new in your research?
We encourage all members (and visitors to the site) to
submit items for inclusion
on the web site as well as for inclusion in the newsletter.
Some submissions may be included in both.
Items like photographs, drawings, short articles,
etc. are of particular interest for the site.
We are looking for any interesting photographs, including those of
unknown species, interesting habitats
and collecting sites, people, etc.
All submissions will be appropriately acknowledged.
